Reports
Vicki Fabryika presented a report on ODOT’s (RTC) Regional Transportation Commiitte meeting from June 26, 2023. ODOT has admitted many errors in proceeding with plans for I205 tolling without taking into consideration the impact the tolling will have on the area residents. Another meeting will be held in July, and Vicki plans on attending that meeting virtually also.
Bobbi Bryan gave a report on Tri-met’s transportation plans to our area.
Lance Ward, Nancy Read, and Donna Hazel all attended a leadership meeting at the County with CPO representatives and County commissioners in attendence. The primary topic was housing. Shortages of housing for homeless and low income residents in particular were addressed. Building projects of apartments are ahead of schedule to accommodate our most vulernable people. Much explanation was given for social services in place to help individuals needing shelter, counseling, job placement, and other available resources. It was a very informative meeting and very positive in the accomplishments thus far.
No new business was presented at this time, and the meeting was adjourned at 7:52 pm with a motion by Vicki Fabryka, a second by Bobbi Bryan, and approved by 5-0-0.
Respectfully submitted,
Donna Hazel, secretary
