CLACKAMAS  COUNTY

Current Transportation Projects:

“Redland Road Turn"  Construction begins August 1, 2023.  See communication from Clackamas County:

Our contractors will be in the area starting this week to begin construction of two added turn lanes at Ferguson Road and Bradley Road.

Major construction work impacting traffic will take place through October between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday – Friday. Workers will be onsite between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. outside of the travel lanes. While no weekend or night work is planned at this time, it might be needed depending on weather and other conditions.

Redland Road will remain open, but there will be lane closures and occasional traffic delays of up to 20 minutes at a time. Travelers will be assisted by flaggers, and are asked to slow down and use caution near the work zone. During construction, the speed limit will be reduced to better provide for the safety of workers and the traveling public.

Construction will start with removing vegetation along the roadway followed by excavation work. Crews will continue preparation of remaining roadway and intersection improvements, prior to repaving the surfaces. Driveway connections will occur after paving is complete along the main part of the roadway. Afterwards, gravel will be placed along shoulders and at gravel driveways.

We anticipate paving the base layer of asphalt this fall and coming back in the spring to pave the final layer. Temporary raised pavement markers will be attached to the road to show lane markings. If conditions allow, we may be able to complete all paving this fall. We will provide you further updates if we are able to accomplish this.
